joshuajared2000: In the Bible , There are three Divine area's that actually apply to Christians. I believe with all my heart we need to take a look at them. Many times we act with the attitude of I CANT, or It wont matter. Many people this past election didn't vote because they felt like “well it wont make a difference, its all going to hell any way”.
joshuajared2000: Tonight were going to start with “Divine Protection” First. I choose this one first for several reasons.
1)You wouldn't go into battle with out first checking your defenses.
joshuajared2000: 2) You ability to see the battle won, depends on your Knowledge of Defence as well as Attacks
3) ill save reason 3 until the end..8-)
So lets get right into it...
joshuajared2000: (1)Divine Protection is Promised to us.
Were going to go over 6 Verses real Quick that really Highlight the Promise of Divine Protection.
joshuajared2000: Psalm 34:7 The angel of Jehovah encamp round about them that fear him, And delivered them. " and Psalm 91:4 He will cover thee with his pinions, And under his wings shalt thou take refuge: His truth is a shield and a buckler.
joshuajared2000: Zechariah 2:5 For I, saith Jehovah, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and I will be the glory in the midst of her.
joshuajared2000: 2Ch 16:9 For the eyes of Jehovah run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly; for from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
joshuajared2000: So from these 5Verses lets see what we know so far about Divine protection. God Is Round about his people (psalm125:2) God is a wall of Fire (Zechariah2:5) He DOES encamp(circle) his people (Psalm 34:7) And he WILL Cover you (psalm 91:4)
joshuajared2000: and my favorite verse on protection.. "he RUNS" to show him self strong in the behalf us 2 Chronicles 16:9
joshuajared2000: 5 Simple Verses 5 times WILL... God is clear .. he WILL protect us
joshuajared2000: So now I think at this point we know He has promised Protection but what will that protection be like? Is it limited? Is it always Changing? Lets take a look at some examples..
joshuajared2000: Gen 35:5
Gen 35:5 And they journeyed: and a terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob. <--- God actually Caused a terror , "terror of GOD" upon the enemy, or check out this one.
joshuajared2000: Ex 14:19-20
Exo 14:19 And the angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud removed from before them, and stood behind them:
Exo 14:20 and it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud and the darkness, yet gave it light by night: and the one came not near the other all the night.
joshuajared2000: I love this verse, because God shows here a SUPERNATURAL protection. and an interesting one as well. a "cloud AND darkness," and an ANGEL as well

2Ki 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Jehovah, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And Jehovah opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
joshuajared2000: not a few... not some.. not "hey look theres many horses" BUT A MOUNTAIN FULL OF ....

Ezr 8:31 Then we departed from the river Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go unto Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was upon us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy and the lier-in-wait by the way. <--- God himself is willing to Step in and defend us.
joshuajared2000: Now this one from Daniel is interesting.. Dan 6:22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, and they have not hurt me; forasmuch as before him innocence was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
joshuajared2000: ^^^^^<-- The angel didn't just supernatural help him.. But he PHYSICALLY shut a lions mouth.. and Prior to this, this Angel was in battle with the prince of the air.

and one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not; behold, the Lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath overcome <--- and Finally my fav..... BEHOLD, THE LION, THE ROOT OF DAVID HAS OVERCOME!!!!!!!!!
joshuajared2000: once again God showing us he himself will be Stepping in to see things done..
joshuajared2000: So now we know that From Gen through revelation God has many ways to protect us. From filling our enemies with Terror (Gen 35:5) to angel's physically stepping in (Daniel 6:22) to God himself Overcoming (Ezra 8:31 & Revelation 5:5)
joshuajared2000: So we know he does it, we know a few examples of it... Now Id like to point out 2 area's of Gods protection. I believe the are important for today's Christians because the seem to be the biggest reasons we fail, or are afraid to fight..
1 – He Supports the week
joshuajared2000: Many times we feel like "oh lord i cant do that" I cant is a sign of weakness <--- TO A POINT.. let me be clear. there are TRULY times when some one CANT do some thing.. my mom CANT sky dive for her health.. My Grandfather CANT here some times.. but when it comes to doing Things for the lord I CANT does not Apply.. as the disciple said ....
joshuajared2000: LORD YOU WANT ME ON THAT WATER? THEN TELL ME TO WALK ON IT,, AND I WILL WALK" paraphrased of course...
joshuajared2000: When God says Move hes not going to send you some where , where your going to be alone and with out the means to do his will. if he said go he intends for you to go.

Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.
joshuajared2000: So God pulls us in.. its important to Support the weak.. *come here before you leave* now check this out.. Co 1:27 but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put to shame them that are wise; and God chose the Weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong;
joshuajared2000: Weak in Wisdom? thats ok.. BC God didn't choose the Brainiacs of this world but the foolish.. God literally says here. "i choose the WEAK!!!
joshuajared2000: so now even the little ones among us can not say their weakness is whats holding them back, bc God chose the weak to put to shame the strong.
joshuajared2000: But then people say things like "i cant fight against that" guess what? we can fight with his ARMOR! Ps 18:35,
"Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation; And thy right hand hath holden me up, And thy gentleness hath made me great. " A shield is ours, #1, and then to add to that his RIGHT HAND holds us up, and HIS gentleness has made us GREAT!!!!
joshuajared2000: Almost every time some one says "I CANT" to GOD, God continual reminds the weak.. "YES YOU CAN"
joshuajared2000: And Then God issues a proclamation for the Weak..
Joe 3:10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning-hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.
joshuajared2000: So when you look at Gods word, Supporting the Weakness of men is promised and needed.. Because his GOAL for those of us who say "i cant" is to make us Strong enough to say "I CAN"

joshuajared2000: 2- He Preserves The Faithful I like this promise.. i like it Because its one thing to know God protects the Weak. its one thing to know he promises that Protection.. But then for those who are faithful even when it hurts.. he promises to Preserve them.....
joshuajared2000: Deu 6:24 And Jehovah commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Jehovah our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as at this day.
joshuajared2000: Psa 31:23 Oh love Jehovah, all ye his saints: Jehovah preserved the faithful, And plentifully rewarded him that dealeth proudly.
joshuajared2000: Faithful and wondering.? Faithful and finding yourself saying " i just don't know if im gonna make it? " "lord i don't know if i can get through this" guess what.. "GOD preserves the Faithful) Psalm 21:23
joshuajared2000: Psa 37:28 For Jehovah loveth justice, And forsaketh not his saints; They are preserved for ever: But the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. < 4 ever!!!!!!! not for a while.. not until this problem is over.. not while the bad guys are out side.. but FOREVER will he preserve those who are faithful
joshuajared2000: Pro 2:8 That he may guard the paths of justice, And preserve the way of his saints.
2Ti 4:18 The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will save me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
joshuajared2000: Again God says he will Preserve , Again he will Deliver and Save... and why does God do this? why does he fill his word with these promises of Protection? Examples of them? why does he continue to remind us of this Desire???
joshuajared2000: Here what God said his reason was... 1Co 1:27 but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put to shame them that are wise; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong;
joshuajared2000: if were weak, its ok!!! bc God sought out the WEAK to put to shame the STRONG! The FOOLS to shame the WISE.
joshuajared2000: Some awesome things here.. Supporting the weak (Exo 19:4,1Co 1:27) and choosing them, Preserving the Faithful and even Rewarding them (Ps 31:23 ,27:28 ) Preserving our path and forsaking us not (Proverbs 2:8 )
joshuajared2000: The point im trying to show you is this..
God has Promised us Protection,And he backed up that Promise by showing us Examples of HOW he would do it. He wants you to know you will be preserved (made lasting) in him, and he told you he would do it..
joshuajared2000: The Protection above , Divine in Nature and in action is yours. Know that your protection is Divine and that it Comes from GOD. God desires to be our Shield, and our buckler. He desires to Gather us under his wings.
joshuajared2000: Now when i started I told you I was saving the 3rd Reasons for this bible study for last.. allow me to share this with you now..
joshuajared2000: I choose tonight to start with protection not to imply that our lives will be perfect with out battle's or troubles or tribulations. But look at your life now.. Im sure you may say “josh my life has seen some hard times” and I think your right.. But guess what... YOU ARE STILL HERE!!!
joshuajared2000: Gods Mercy said no.. no your not gonna fail when so many others have..
joshuajared2000: No your not going to lose when so many others have bc God intended you to OVER COME
joshuajared2000: Has God lied? Has he not protected you keeping you alive until now?
Has he not provided for you until now?
Has he not Preserved you until now?
joshuajared2000: Has he not kept the enemy from Taking Victory? when every day so many fall prey to the enemy?
joshuajared2000: This is why I choose to start here.. To Remind us all that our Protection , our Divine Protection is in fact Everlasting and CLEARLY PRESENT in our lives today...
joshuajared2000: WE can choose to let it slip by unseen and act as if God isn't protected us.. But if we look.. we can see that protection EVERY WHERE AND LITERALLY EVERY DAY!

joshuajared2000: that is why When God said in his word " For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last
for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning
joshuajared2000: Because every day you have the chance to look behind you, and see the Cloud that has protected you until today
joshuajared2000: Every day you wake up and go to work, or stay at home and clean, or go shopping or spend time with friends, every day God is moving.. Every Day God is RUNING back and forth to defend his saints.
joshuajared2000: T And now that you know your Protection is Divine, and know how God can use that Protection. Im happy to tell you that next week were going into Part two.. The Divine Protector. We need to get a good look at our God.
We need to understand that he is more then just a God who loves, but he is also the God who wars, The God who is our defense, and fortress
joshuajared2000: I hope that Tonight if we learn any thing... we learn this.. Our Protector has been VERY active in our lives. we just need to "BE STILL " and we will know he "IS GOD"..
joshuajared2000: Heavenly Father Thank you for laying this word on my heart. For showing me how many things in my life have been protected. how many attacks You have delivered me from.. Father I thank you for preserving us tonight. I ask that we would see this more in our lives. That we would stop saying we CANT when your Word Shows us WE CAN.
joshuajared2000: I thank you for the peace you have brought tonight. For the time you
have given us. I ask you to help your word sink deep below in our hearts that we would live our life knowing full well the Unlimited Protection you generously lay before us
joshuajared2000: Teach us to be thankful Father, for our Weakness's that you may use them to bring the strong to their knees.. . Thank you for this wonderful evening. I ask you to bring us to a wonderful nights end father as we enjoy some worship and fellowship.. Amen..
