joshuajared2000: Heavenly Father,
I thank you for all that you have done in our lives. All of the times you have been active in and arround us that we have never known. I thank you for Giving us the Ability and the Time to meet tonight when so many people do not.
joshuajared2000: Father I ask that you would bring a peace to those who enter this room tonight. Bring peace to those who come to bring trouble. And help us to understand your word tonight. If were wrong then father we welcome your correction but if what we are learning is your truth then I thank you for us growing in our walk with you.
joshuajared2000: So folks for those of you who were not here last week and for those who were here, last week we started talking about Divine Protection. Its examples and its promises.
We ended that bible study by pointing out some thing powerful.
God sustained you.
joshuajared2000: Yes you have gone through hardships, yes you have had hard times and troubled issues. But you are here now.. and there for proving God Has sustained you. Looking At our Life we could see that in all those times we were hurting, in all those times we were under attack.. when we thought God was leaving us alone... we could see he was truly protecting us.

We know The power of His Protection but lets get to know him..
So who and What is God when it comes to War?
Well for starters !!!
1 ) A Warrior
joshuajared2000: First, Know that he Fights for us, Exodus 14:14
Jehovah will fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
joshuajared2000: He Fights with Terror and Confusion Exodus 23:26
I will send my terror before thee, and will discomfit all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.
joshuajared2000: He fights with Troops 2 Samuel 5:24
And it shall be, when thou hearest the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry-trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself; for then is Jehovah gone out before thee to smite the host of the Philistines.
joshuajared2000: He Fights with Fear 2 Chronicles 20:29
And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of the countries, when they heard that Jehovah fought against the enemies of Israel.
joshuajared2000: Again ...He fights For you 2 Chronicles 32:8 with him is an arm of flesh; but with us is Jehovah our God to help us, and to fight our battles. -He is a God of Battle. Even when you don't see it, he fights for you.
joshuajared2000: 2 ) He is our Defence.
Not only is he the Fighter, but our Defender..
Psalm 5:11
But let all those that take refuge in thee rejoice, Let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: Let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
joshuajared2000: Psalm 31:2 A house of defence to save me.
Isaiah 31:5 he will protect and deliver it, he will pass over and preserve it.
Isaiah 37:35 For I will defend this city to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.
joshuajared2000: Friends its clear that our God is a God who fights for and Longs to defend his people... God doesnt just FIGHT for you, With Angelic Troops but he becomes a Defence for you.. ( John 3:16 "IT IS FINISHED" )

2 Samuel 22:2and he said, Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer
Psalm :18:2 Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress,
joshuajared2000: God longs to be a Fortress, Keeping you safe. Know today this God of Battle,Our Defender..... Is your Fortress.
joshuajared2000: He is A Hiding Place
Psalm 17:8 Hide me under the shadow of thy wings
Psalm 27:5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion: In the covert of his tabernacle will he hide me
Psalm 32:7 Thou art my hiding-place;
Psalm 119:114 Thou art my hiding-place
joshuajared2000: yes there are times when we will need to Hide. To escape the Attacks of our enemys and here God is making it clear, he is your Hiding place!! A place to run to, a place to Go to when we need to escape this troubling world,, there he is..

Exodus 33:22
and it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a cleft of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand until I have passed by: <--- With his own hand !!!! how cool is that!!!
joshuajared2000: Psalm 31:20 In the covert of thy presence wilt thou hide them from the plottings of man:
Proverbs 14:26 In the fear of Jehovah is strong confidence; And his children shall have a place of refuge.
Isaiah 25:4 For thou hast been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm
joshuajared2000: He is with out a doubt, Not just a Hiding place, but a Refuge a place to go seeking safty.

Im not going to just show you 1 time! Where God said this, I want you to see that SEVERAL times he makes clear who he is. He is ACTIVE in your life Friends.. So many times we talk about "GOD WILL" GOD WILL " GOD WILL" but tonight.. tonight i want us to see.

joshuajared2000: It amazed me when i sat down and went over this tonight, how many times God is telling us he is these things.. Jesus said once "if you have seen me you have seen the father"... so i went and looked again at the old testament. And here, it was made clear, Our King of Kings is a Warrior, A Conquring King. Defender and Refuge, Fortress and so much more..
joshuajared2000: This God whom you serve, The one who sent his only son to die for us? He is your Protector! A God of battle, Defender of his people. A Fortress and Hiding place, A Refuge and Shield!! Time and time again, Verse after Verse God is showing you hes not some throne Sitter.. His Slogan is not "JUST PEW IT"....
joshuajared2000: He is ACTIVE in your life, He is Your God but he is so much more.. I hope so deeply that you will Now this God who Protects and Sustaines you. This God who March's on the Tops of Trees to defend you, With a slogan screaming "IT IS FINISHED" Christ Screams from within our Hearts ...

And our Protector is clearly Every thing we need when it comes to battle, and our life in general. I choose this topic Because even though we know our Protection is Divine, we need to know that God Is Our Divine Protector. Hes not just some invisible God sitting in heaven playing Chess with humans.
joshuajared2000: He is active in their lives Protection them even when they dont see it. LAst week i asked you to know that no matter the pain and the hurt, to look and See that God did Protect you... This week, I ask you to take time, every day this week. And thank the lord for being your Provider.. your Provider..

joshuajared2000: Take time this week, We know the Savior..... but have we takin the time to know the one who sent him? We sing of jesus and his victorys.. but have we thanked his father? jesus pointed to God time and time again.. Wont you look also to the "one who sent me"?
joshuajared2000: Jesus Spoke about the "fathers will".... if you want to know his will... Then listen to the son.. as he wispers in your hearts... *knock knock* my fathers calling... will you listen..

I thank you so much for being the things we have seen tonight. For being our Fortress and our Defender.. For being our Fighter and our Shield for being our Refuge.. I thank you for being our Provider, Jehovah Jirah. Thank you so much for protecting us when we didnt think you were
joshuajared2000: Thank you for bringing your son Jesus Christ to point us back to you.. As Christ said before us so say we tonight.. all honor and Glory are yours oh king of kings and Lord of lords
joshuajared2000: You who sit on the throne, We stand amazed and humbled that you call to us.. that you defend us.. we stand in awe knowing that your son died not just for his friends.. but for his enemies..
joshuajared2000: .. and we ask you to teach us this love, that we too may be so in love with you that we would do what ever it took to win the lost and break the chains arround them, that we too may say “it is finished”
